What is TENCEL™ Lyocell?

TENCEL™ Lyocell is a wood based cellulosic fiber derived from a blend of sustainably sourced hardwoods including eucalyptus.  No part of the tree is left unused. TENCEL™ Lyocell is made in a closed loop production process where more than 99% of process water and solvents are recovered and recycled.  TENCEL™ Lyocell is stronger and softer than cotton, gentle on skin, biodegradable, and compostable – from earth, to earth.

• Gentle on skin: naturally soft to the touch, offering long-lasting comfort
• Thermal regulating: supports body temperature regulating properties through moisture management (wicks away moisture)
• Unfavorable for bacterial growth: excellent at moisture management, TENCEL™ Lyocell holds less moisture when compared to polyester and other synthetics, reducing risk of bacteria growth
• Enhanced breathability: made from a natural source, they absorb and retain moisture
• Minimal static charge: unlike polyester, these sheets do not hold static
• Strong and durable: TENCEL™ Lyocell has a high tenacity, able to withstand wear and tear better than its competitors
